Where can I find a company's total payroll?
Hello guys,
My manager asked me to make a study for him in which I have to make a comparative analysis of total payroll between companies.
I've tried to find the information on Datastream and Google without results, do you know how I can access this kind of information?
Maybe there is some paper published in which the total payroll is mentioned, it doesn't have to be a figure (could be as a % of revenues or whatever).
I do know it is not really related to investment banking (I'm an economist intern for an asset manager), but I figured you guys would probably know as you deal with this kind of information on a daily basis.
I'm sorry If I wasn't that clear as I'm not a native English speaker, therefore do not hesitate if you need more precision.
Thank you very much :)
Try the annual report :)? Where are the companies located?
Look at their annual reports
I hope you have a lot of time on your hards
I gotta do that for a mix of European and Non-European banks, basically the top 5 of each. I was wondering if there was a specific part of the annual report in which personnel related data was given. Each annual report is like 100 pages and more hahaha, I hope I won't have to read each of them in full to find it xD
Thank you again guys!
Use the search function of your PDF reader buddy. In the profit and loss statement personnel expenses are mentioned including a reference to the relevant notes. Keep however in mind that for financial institutions personnel expenses as % of revenue is a bit tricky
Thanks, I've found it :)
At least split retail from corporate banking and interest from advisory income. Can’t compare these businesses on this metric imo
