Where should I list SAT scores on Resume?
Where is it generally accepted to list SAT scores for an summer analystsales and trading resume if I don't want to use space to list my high school? I currently have it under my university, but I took the SAT back in high school.
SAT on Resume
The general consensus is that it does not matter if you put your SAT score on your resume. But it should not be on your resume if the score is below 1500 or you're out of undergrad.
If you do have an exceptional score then feel free to list it on under the education portion. Do not devote more than a line.
It is very unlikely that you will be dinged for not listing your scores.
Are you still worried about the quality of your resume?
If your resume is not clear, concise, or properly formatted it could end up in the “no” pile.Your resume is your first impression and it should be a good one. Follow the link below to get your resume reviewed by industry professionals.

doesn't really matter
I listed mine under the "Education" section.
If you have a good score - definitely list it.
what's a good SAT score?
i.e. one that if placed on a Resume, will only aid in applying to a BB?
i'd say 1500+, though most of hte banks i've applied to have required me to list my sat score on the resume
I'd think they care more about the math score than verbal so a high 700 math, as long as verbal is 700+ you should be fine.
I'd also say 1500+ (assuming the "old" SAT).
what would a
750+ math
750+ writing
650+ verbal
look like to a recruiter in ur opinion?
Def not a dealbreaker.
shit. ihave a perfect math score but shitty verbal (600-650). but i was a recent immigrant. hopefully they can understand it.
SAT on my resume? (Originally Posted: 07/04/2016)
Student at target school currently adjusting my resume. My SAT score wasn't great (2050 range) and I don't know if it's going to hurt me. Should I bother putting it on my resume or just leaving it off? Is anyone going to ask or really care that much?
Leave it off, you goto a target school
Don't bother. I think I only got asked once during undergrad, no one else seemed to care.
What happens if we transferred from a shit school to an average school? I have a decent SAT, just went to shit school due to scholarship. Thinking of either leaving the shit school I spent a year at off the resume, or leaving it on but putting my relatively high SAT.
Only put standardized scores which are in the 98%+ on your resume. Otherwise you might be shooting yourself in the foot.
I almost never see SAT scores on resumes. If your score was not great, just leave it off. If you got a perfect score in Math, maybe bring that up in interviews, but its importance is not that significant after your college applications.
Does SAT date show up on a resume (Originally Posted: 09/28/2012)
Hi all, let me start off by saying that I didn't do things the... conventional way. I screwed around in HS, missed more days than I can count.. But, I turned things around, went to a Community College, and got into a good B-School.
PROBLEM:
I NEVER TOOK MY SAT!!
Should I take it now? Will the date I took the SAT show up on my resume? Can an employer find out?
4.0 currently with 33 hours complete (taking more this semester, of course).
Any help will be great!
Yes, the date will always show up on your resume.
If you try to write your SAT scores without a date, Word will automatically add the date for you. Unfortunately, as far as I know there is no way around this.
I don't really know why you are worrying. Just take it again if you can. The test date shouldn't be that important either. If you tell the interviewers your story they would understand.
I like stories like yours.
^^ Sarcasm. Seriously though, what a question man. YOU build your resume, don't you? Is anyone forcing you to put a date? Practice some free will!
Thanks guys. I guess you're right!
Now, I just gotta take it.
Wait wait.
Why would you put an SAT score on your resume no one fucking cares about your SAT.
You dont even need to take the SAT.
What's up with all the SAT score threads these days? No one really cares if it's not on there, especially if you're in B school already.
Really? I thought it was looked at by would-be employers? Maybe I heard wrong.. but everybody around here was saying it was.. Please, correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks
