Where to Take a HF Credit Trader to Lunch?

I was able to get a lunch with a HF credit trader in NYC for next weekend. He told me to pick the place. I have no idea on where to go? Any suggestions? Thx.

Correction: The lunch will be on Saturday near his apartment in Soho.

if you want to work in trading, and this is your approach to decision making, you may want a back up plan.

Thanks bro, I didn't realize that being a walking Zagat guide will be useful for my career in trading on the buy side.

From a current trader at a HF, to one that isn't. If you can't see the connection after having it highlighted, and you think I'd give a shit about where I go for lunch with someone that wants to break in, unless I have 2 weeks to live, then you might want to take your attitude elsewhere.

How about Tamarind in TriBeCa? Maybe Churrascaria plataforma?

I was just at Churrascaria for lunch a couple weeks ago. Granted I have been following a much lighter diet for the last year or so and have significantly cut back on my red meat consumption, still the meat there were bland and all seemingly over-cooked. I ended up eating mostly the mash potatoes and brocoli. Industria Argentina used to be a great skirt steak joint in Tribeca too bad they closed down a while ago.

Too late for second-guessing Too late to go back to sleep.

I haven't been to Churrascaria in a few years. It definitely has a high quantity of food. I always ask them for rare cuts of beef and usually have to wait to get them, because the norm is to give you steak well done or close to it, which I hate.

Is it animalz? Also, chipotle. Chipotle is fucking awesome.

Get his office address and then go look on Yelp. Simple.

Do you freakin people read the goddam question? Sorry bro, and it's not only you, but I said near his apartment in Soho. Anyway, duh I know I can do that, but I was looking for a word-of-mouth review from a place someone has been to.

Do credit traders eat different food to equity or FX traders?

Not necessarily but credit traders pay their food with credit/deb(i)t cards while equity traders pay with cash and FX traders pay with foreign currencies.

Good to know. That could have been embarrassing....

Find a good tapas restaurant. I can't remember the name of the one I recently went to near where I live but it was good and like $110 for two people who ate a lot and drank a bit.
