Which watch to choose?
Hey WSO,
I am considering to buy a big brand entry level watch.
The first 3 potential options are:
Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80
Opinions on these?
Any suggestions?
Many thanks.

My question is, are you looking purely for brand cache or do you care about horology?
OP here, I am not really into horology, but I do require some standards and attention to detail. (hands not hitting seconds mark accurately bugs the hell out of me)
Tissot or Longines are the best looking IMO
Hey mate, recently got the Tissot with a the navy face for my birthday. Really love it. Fits very well and looks quite smart. It's my first watch and very glad with the choice. Cheers
Tissot.
Longines and go used.
Save your pennies and get a Tudor BB58.
Agree - hard to justify going any lower than that for me. I think with a lot of these watches OP listed, you’re just spending all that money and then it’s gone. At least with some of the higher end ones, you can probably sell it and come out decently
Better yet save your pennies further and get an IWC portofino - great starter watch.
I got a B&M clifton as my first watch.
Longines is a great starter watch so would go with that. Good movement and a good transitionary watch prior to moving to something more expensive.
Personally not a huge fan of Tag or Tissot
I would go with the Tissot for sure. Great movement in the watch for the price and the design can fit in with any outfit.
Blue-faced Rolex Oyster Perpetual with the oystersteel band. Classic and clean.
