Dont think I've ever seen anyone wear suspenders in banking ... can see the merits vs wearing a belt provided you're confident in pulling it off. Who knows, Friday maybe. Let us know how it goes
Wear them where??? Most of us haven't seen the inside of an office building in months. No one is sitting at home on Zoom with suspenders. This is a rather silly post.
I've seen only one senior banker when I was an analyst wear the y-suspenders. He was one of those old-school types who wore thick pinstripe suits and predicated his entire life and self-esteem based on the clients/size of deals he completed. Just painting a picture haha
Yap, most of the people who wear suspenders in office wear them in a old school and authoritarian topic.
Sometimes you can see a few using them in more casual way, but use to be as you profiled.
Why do people prefer suspenders over belts? They just pull at your shoulders all day
Yap, they are easier to pull on and to remove, and don't make pressure on the waist
But I would much prefer horizontal pressure on my waist, than vertical pressure on my shoulders?
Vertically there is way more range of motion
Know an ex-CEO of what used to be a mid-tier broker-dealer in dark pool trading, they got acquired in the past few years. He was in a top position at nasdaq prior to that. His suspender game was tight though, no pun intended
We usually fight for belt and suspenders on most deals
