Why do glasses fog up?
If you are also a fellow eyeglasses wearer, fogging lenses aren’t a surprise anymore. It’s a constant battle between your eyes and the breadth. No matter, you are wearing prescription glasses or sunglasses, it’s bound to gain moisture on the lenses. Understanding the cause of glasses getting fogged-up might lead up to its prevention. The reason behind such even is simple science.
When you cover your mouth with a mask, there’s isn’t enough space for the warm air to escape that’s coming out of the mouth. When warm air meets a cool surface, condensation occurs, resulting in foggy lenses. The air coming out of your mouth escape from the top-most part of the mask and reached the cold lens, causing them to fog up. This situation was quite common prior to covid-19, when you read with your reading glasses and bring hot tea to drink near your face, the glasses turn foggy in an instant.
