"Will let you know in a couple of weeks"
How long should I wait after I get an email saying "we will let you know in a couple of weeks"? I received that email last last Friday. Should I ask for an update next week Monday?

Good question! Will let you know in a few weeks.
Desperate for an answer... Should I follow up today? (exactly two weeks have been passed). Or does it come off as trying to rush their decision? Should I wait for another week?
Bump... when should I follow up? Or even, should I ever follow up?
Yeah send a note. Jeez bro! Its not a big deal.
You didn't even say what this was about.
Wow. You are right. This is for a job interview I did two weeks ago. I am just not sure when I should or even, if I should follow up.
Yes you should follow up! It's been two weeks - reach out to the recruiter expressing your interest in the role and then ask for an update.
Thank you for the comment. One thing I want to ask you - should I contact the recruiter (I only talked to him on the phone and via email. He is out-of-state, and I am applying to the satellite office) or should I contact the managers who interviewed me?
I would contact the recruiter. They are the contact point for candidates and you won’t put the hiring managers “on the spot”.
most likely you are on the waitlist...aka...you are not their first choice...but if their 1st choice declines, then maybe you are the 2nd or 3rd or 4th. This means you should keep looking elsewhere. If the people above you take the job, the company will often forget to inform those on the waitist (this is usually a very informal process).
Got it.. I sort of had the feeling that I was the very first person to be interviewed for the position, so I still wanted to have my hopes up. Thanks for the advice tho.
Did you reach out? Did you hear back? If you were the very first person to be interviewed then 2 weeks after your interview they might have still been trying to interview other candidates.
Yeah, they told me that they were still interviewing other candidates. I got to the next interview.
