I think we should play for a little cash, nothing too drastic, but 16 weeks of roster management deserves a little payout. Ideally, we should have a league of 10-14 teams, this way we won't be forced to start backups and everyone will have a legit roster.

I'll create the league tonight on Yahoo and I'll post the info on this thread.

As for the buy in, probably through paypal. I'll get that info out tonight as well. Everyone cool with like a 30-35 dollar buy in?

Do something like 1st seed in playoffs gets like 20% (standings winner), rest goes to playoff winner.

Also, do a Sunday, 9:30-10pm Thurs might be tough for other time zones assuming you are EST.

Yep, I'll create the league later today or tonight and post the info on here. I will probably max the league at 14. When you have more teams in a league that means that each team will have less valuable players which kinda takes the fun out of it.

I think 12 is the best number, 14 is high in my opinion.

I was going to say I'm in, but I don't play with more than 10. At that point people stop trading and you get the guys who duck out after they lose the first 3-4 games.

In my experience, 12 is the best number because then there is a little more depth to it. More paying attention to who's a dark horse player you can snag late, who may have a break out game this week, etc. I feel like 10 or less, there's not as much skill or football knowledge required. You can pretty much just take a few stars that you've heard of and let auto pick do the rest and be competitive. !2 you have to do more of the legwork yourself. I have never played with 14, however.

I can see where you're coming from with that. I've just had the best experiences with 8- and 10-man leagues. Whenever I've been in a 12 or 14 league the bottom 3 or 4 players are pretty much gone after the first 6 weeks. It ruins the second half of the season. To each their own I guess, it probably more depends on the people joining the league than anything else.

I can definitely get that. In an 8 or 10, you have multiple stars or very good players. If one goes down or has an off year, less chance that your entire season is fucked because of it, whereas with a 12 teamer, you won't have many studs, and AP blowing out his knee again will completely knock you out.

Like you said though, probably more depends on the people playing.
