Yes. And just working longer hours.
Definitely seeing an increase in volume to close out the year. My shop’s process always has been to outsource the heavy lifting of the due diligence, so now it’s mainly just a function of time management. On the flip side, i’ve seen less new loan requests come through as most people have already circled their lender for any deals that need to close this year.
^Agreed on this point. Have generally seen a slowdown of new packages being sent out as the rush of deals that "need to close by year end" came out a few weeks ago...
I will say that I have felt a general sentiment shift in some of the riskier bridge/construction deals out in the market today. A few months ago, these deals would have gotten done at tighter levels with a lot more competition from non-bank lenders/debt funds. Don't know if others are seeing this as well...
