Accenture Technology Labs? what should I do?

Dear All,

After many interview rounds and checks, I have received an offer from Accenture Technology Labs for a consultant position. Currently I am working in a R&D company and in 1-2 years I might become a junior project manager. The offered salary and benefits at Accenture are similar to my current one, not better and not worse.

I am a very ambitious and creative person and I have a PhD in "Electrical Engineering" and 2 years of experience in the related field. I have some other job offers for positions such as Senior Engineer or Lead Engineer from mid-size companies (both R&D companies and manufacturers), all in the similar salary range.
I have to decide about joining Accenture or not.

I can't find much information about Accenture Technology Labs in forums. Could you please give me some advise regarding my situation and the following questions:

1- Is it true that Accenture Technology Labs group mostly work with more interesting projects and involves a lot of traveling?

2- What will be my exit opps in a few years after working at Accenture Tech Labs? From what I have heard around forums, it seems that leaving Accenture in 3 years is a better idea career-wise than staying in Accenture.

3- In your opinion which path "usually" offers better opportunities in a long run? Consultancy or Engineering (R&D)?
