Sophomore in College wanting to break into Management Consulting
Hey,
I just finished my sophomore year at an SEC school with a 4.0. I am studying finance and management with a minor in economics and data analytics.
I am working this summer as an M&A intern at a small firm.
I am the president of my fraternity and have had many other experiences.
How can I break into consulting and grab that summer 2025 internship?

What SEC school? Recruiting opportunities would be very different at Georgia and Florida compared to something like Tennessee or Ole Miss. See if you can find out either through your own research or your school's career center what firms recruit on campus.
Have you already started doing things? Recruiting for MBB firms happens during the summer, and most other internship recruiting happens during the fall. If you haven't already, you should start networking, working on case prep, and working on behavioral interviews.
Would definitely try to see if you can connect with alums of your school and fraternity who are working at firms you are interested in. If you don't know which firms you are interested in, now would be a good time to be researching what different firms do
Do you have any networking tips? Im getting ignored by alumni of my school and its really stressful.
I recommend focusing on specific offices like if you want Atlanta focus on that office and just reach out to everyone. At one point it’s just a numbers game
