Yeezy raking in 1.5 billion....... Kanye is always growing

Air Jordan's do about 3 billion annually and I was shocked to see Yeezys are already half way there. Lots of people hate Kanye West and he has given people reasons.

From saying "George Bush hates black people" on national television, to supporting MAGA and getting hated all over the internet he is notorious for making comments and running from a SJW agenda.

Is anyone surprised by Yeezy's success? What do you think the future holds?

Funniest

"George Bush doesn't care about black people." I saw this live on TV. Myers / West / Tucker.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

Surprised? Nah. Kanye is the GOAT. This was inevitable, Yeezy jumping over jumpman in 2021

Am I the only one who found the irony of his poetic hit Gold Digger; then watch him marry Kim K?

I think Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are the originals..... Kim was actually their assistant til she worked her way above them.

I definitely agree with you though, I have a hard time finding friends that are girls (like myself). I usually end up being friends with guys

TLOP was 3 years ago, sensational.

KSG was great but I will admit not that impressive.

NASIR production was god tier. Daytona was insane.

C'mon man, Ye still has it. He produced 5 albums in one year all at top tier levels of sound

TLOP was garbage, it had four good songs. KSG was fine, but not a Kanye album - Cudi's previous album was also much better. His production is still there but I don't really want to listen to Kanye anymore - Yeezus was also trash. The drop in quality from his classics to Yeezus is jarring. You're right, Daytona was great. Nasir might be Nas' worst album.

Life of Pablo was too real for mere mortals. They need basic lines about basic ills plaguing life. Kanye been on another level since Runaway.

College Dropout was literally the album of a young 20 something who just found nihilism and inherited a new cynicism about life. Kanye's new music has been much more mature and gone a lot deeper than surface level pains.

The fact is, he's been on an emotional train, which is showing in his music. But all great music has the ability to convey great emotional turmoil.

TBH Graduation was my favorite although my beautiful dark twisted fantasy, and 808s and heartbreaks was great too. The newer ones after that I don't love

I saw Kanye live when he was an opener for Cam'ron after College Dropout was released. I still remember how Kanye just captivated the crowd singing part of Through the Wire straight acapella. Wow am I old...

All I care about is the music.... and it's been garbage for over half a decade.

I love you.

although I'm less kind, I still only listen to graduation and earlier, that's the kanye I know and love.

Have to disagree there My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is a masterpiece and is after Graduation.

shrug College Dropout is still IMO Kanye's best album. People know "Jesus Walks," "Spaceship," "All Falls Down," and "Through the Wire." People forget about the slept on "Never Let Me Down," "Slow Jamz," "Two Words," "Family Business"

This makes me uncomfortable for so many reasons lol

The gif is even better because you can see him sticking his tongue inside the fish mouth.

Never discuss with idiots, first they drag you at their level, then they beat you with experience.

It's crazy how fast Yeezys are growing in comparison to other shoe companies. Back in the day it was all about Nike Air-Force-Ones. Literally, Zebra Yeezys cost $220 and they are reselling for $600+. Everything that Yeezy 350 is selling retail is reselling for a crazy +200%+ markup.

"It's okay, I'll see you on the other side"

I have never seen such as fan base other than Supreme or Bathing Ape (Bape). Just to let you know, Supreme clothing company actually sold a brick, yes a brick with the logo on it and it literally sold out. Yeezy 350 Boost is honestly probably Adidas best shoe line now and into the future income generating wise.

"It's okay, I'll see you on the other side"

You gotta admit though, Kanye knows how to market himself. Literally, people are getting robbed for limited editions Yeezys made in small numbers after walking out the store. There is a definitely a difference between classy clothes with reputation and a fad that is sustainable.

He's just so awful. His success speaks to how amazing this country's opportunity is and also how success often goes to the least worthy.

He's one of the best musicians of the 21st century... I'd say he's earned his success. No matter how bombastic and annoying and possibly mentally unstable he is.

His music is beyond awful (but I suppose that's a matter of opinion) and he's a horrible role model and, frankly, kind of a bad person. My point isn't that he didn't "earn" his success, it's that he's not worthy of the universe granting it to him. But that's life. The same way with the Kardashian clan--they're genuinely terrible people.
