Oil and gas investment analyst interview
Hi everyone, I have a second-round interview with prudential private capital for the oil and gas investment analyst position and wanted to know the best way to prepare for it. I have been improving my basic accounting knowledge and reading the breaking into wall street guides. Is there anything else I can study to better prepare? Thank you.
adipat13, bummer your thread hasn't had a response yet. Maybe one of these threads could point you in the right direction:
Hope that helps.
I’d say just be sure to know basic industry jargon (for example: what’s the difference between upstream/midstream/downstream), recent trends on a high level (what’s happening in the Permian and other major basins, OPEC cuts, VZ/Iran sanctions), and understanding how valuation in the space works. You don’t have to know everything about the sector, but at least in my experience, O&G focused groups will ask you some O&G related questions to make sure you know what you’re signing up for. Good luck
