Bag/Backpack for Summer Interns

Will be starting my internship soon in PWM in NYC. Is a sporty Adidas backpack okay to wear to the office? Or should I go for a formal backpack(Lululemon/Carhartt)? If backpacks are not appropriate any bag suggestions are appreciated.

Backpacks are really not acceptable for grown men to use.

Just find a simple over-the-shoulder bag to use. You'll be carrying a lot less than you think on a daily basis.

A backpack for what? Your Pokemon cards? Be an adult, not a little boy.

If you're just going to be wearing business-casual to the office, then an Adidas backpack is fine. Even a JanSport backpack is fine.

I have an old Eastern Mountain Sports backpack  that fitted incredible amount of stuff inside, yet looked very professional. You may want to look into EMS or Patagonia or Eddie Bauer etc.

However if you're going to be talking to any clients while wearing a suit, then you'll need a messenger bag or a briefcase instead. Backpacks and suits don't belong together. Try a Wilson Leather outlet if you can still find one.
