Does GPA ever come up in an equity research interview?

I am a recent grad and I have a handful of interviews at a few middle market firms for ER associate roles coming up (Think Macquire, Jefferies, Piper Sandler, Cowen tier

I did not have a strong gpa in undergrad, I have a 2.9 from a non-target. I have internships in management consulting and I did ER at my schools investment fund. I currently do freelance journalism.

Had a rough freshman and sophomore year and ended my sophomore year with a 1.5, got kicked out of school, was let back in and I grinded to get myself to the top. Had a 3.5 average my senior year doing 2 internships and having a part time job but it wasn't enough to get my GPA over 3.

I leave it off of my resume. So far it has never came up once in IB, consulting or ER interviews. If it does come up, will it be a killer?
