Should I list my junior + senior year GPA only on my resume?
![]()
The average of my freshman and sophomore year gpa was a horrifying ~1.7. (Extreme mental health problems, spring of my sophmore year I had a .668 semester gpa) was suspended from school the fall of my junior year, worked some manual labor jobs that bent me back into shape
Cumulative is 2.87 from a non target that send like 1 kid to banking a year. I leave it off of resumes.
Took a 5th year, 3rd year GPA was about a 3.2 but this included the semester I was suspended as well as summer and winter classes and one semester being a 2.9.
4th and 5th yr gpa resulted in around a 3.5 average. If I include the 3rd year it would be a little lower.
Should I put the junior+senior year GPA on my resume, since I was a completely different person on both halves of my education?
Major GPA(international business) would be like a ~3.2. The gpa of my finance minor would be around 3.7 (I doubt anyone is listing minor gpa though lmao)
I got a few internships under my belt, in management consulting and writing.
I have had no problem getting interviews for Equity Research at reputable MM firms (think Jefferies, Piper, Cowen tier) even had interviewed for Boutique IB and M&A consulting and GPA has never come up. I have a pretty strong resume, however I am sure the lack of a GPA has led to be being auto dinged at places I might have been competitive at. I have read of some people listing the gpa of their later years, is that something that would be looked down upon?
