Working at MoffetNathanson?
Can anyone speak to what the research division at MoffetNathanson is like? I'm curious about quality of analysts, hours, culture, etc.
They're a top TMT research shop but I cant find allot of reviews or interview material for the firm.

It's basically 4 lead analysts: Craig Moffett, Mike Nathanson, Lisa Ellis and Sterling Auty.
Moffett, Nathanson, Ellis are at many times II #1 in their category: cable / telco, media, and payment / fintech, respectively.
Sterling Auty joined from JPM, which I'm sure he is just regretting a little bit with all this SVB mess, but Sterling is a legit software analyst. I don't really give a damn about II, but if you want to measure it that way, he was #1 II SMID Software Analyst in 2021 (he didn't get votes in 2022 because of moving to SVB).
Moffett, Nathanson and Ellis came from Bernstein so they know their industries very well because Bernstein differentiates on hiring industry people (most of their analysts worked in the industry they cover versus coming from some finance background). Moffett and Ellis used to be McKinsey consultants consulting their respective sectors. Nathanson used to work in strategic finance at media companies.
No idea about hours, culture. Really depends on which one of the four you work for and how they run the team.
They were acquired by SVB, so curious what happened to them post fall out
Used to work in a TMT group at an EB and their research was by far the best for the industries I covered (cable, telco, fiber, digital infra)
