DEI Recruiting Scaled back SEO

Wayback machine screenshot showing SEO careers website now (apr 2025) vs Dec 2024, before it explicitly stated the program was for HBNA applicants but now it's open to all / doesn't have any race or ethnicity qualifiers on the website, just "underserved" or "high achieving" - interesting move maybe to protect nonprofit status with current admin?

Or... just recruit solely based off Merit like it always has been...

Never said this was bad - if anything it opens career prep resources to more people so probably a net positive

I agree completely. These resources should be accessible to everyone, and then it is up to who wants it the most and who is going to work the hardest to get there. I've just never been a fan of the separate processes that DEI offers. Accessibility is the real solution

I think it used to be more selective (requiring some behavioral interviews at minimum) but over time it also got oversaturated in the states similarly - I think at this point they’re just an aggregator of some basic resources offered at a career center + wall street prep+ job openings not found on handshake. Weird to do it with the guise of promoting diversity though.
