How hard is it for European graduates to get into US HF?
Hi everyone. I’m an American high school student who will be applying to universities soon. I want to go to university in Europe for personal reasons and for the cost. I’m looking at Boconni, St. Gallen, SSE, and some others. My career goal, however, is to work in S&T for a while then work in hedge funds and eventually start my own fund in the United States. How badly would going to a European university inhibit my achieving this? Could there be a way for me to network with both Europeans and Americans during my undergraduate study to give myself the greatest chance of advancing my career the way I want to?
I wouldn’t do it if you want to be on an American desk. Full time S&T recruitment is competitive enough at American uni’s, so going to school abroad will put you at a serious disadvantage.
