Playing Tennis as a Banker
Do you have time to play tennis? I've been playing my whole life and it's one of the main way I exercise, so I'm worried that I won't be able to play as an analyst/associate especially in a big city

Seriously doubt it, unfortunately. I haven't started working either but I can't imagine having time to play tennis consistently.
as an analyst...maybe once a month on a weekend...as a VP every weekend...as an MD, just about every day you want
Maybe not EVERY weekend but you’ll def have time to play a bit most Saturday mornings for example. Probably a lot harder if you want to play during the week.
Yea if you reallllly want to play and are willing to sacrifice your Fri nights, you could probably squeeze in Sat mornings as I saw most requests didn't come in until earliest 10AM (unless previously agreed upon) so yes if you want to make time, you probably can at least every other week
I pretty much never played when I was in banking - occasionally in the summers only, but that was also partly by choice. Tournaments are completely out of the question as are any organized leagues.
what about going for workout class do you think i have time for that
No need for a workout class. Analyst get all the weight lifting they need when they carry the team on their back.
I'm not sure if it's just me, but I find it hard to be consistent in doing a sport after working. There's always unexpected work flow that just throw you off schedule, then I end up not going back to it for months. Tennis in NYC is also expensive, not a lot of indoor courts. The most economical option maybe hitting the golf range at Chelsea piers late at night.
They got tennis courts there?
The price is definitely another concern haha
