Throwing It All Away

Preface: I have no legal background. I am posting this after Hernandez was charged with murder one and no bail.

I actually had a great topic already lined up for this week's blog (Hint: it will include input by a popular user) but this news just irritates me to no end. Here is a guy, not even a year prior, signed a contract extension that gave him $12.5 million bonus, currently playing for one of the greatest (if not the greatest for some Boston fans) quarterbacks of all time, and not even 24 yet. The world was his oyster, and all he had to do was stay in goddamn shape and continue what he was doing before.

Annnnnd here we are. I am not even a Patriots fan (although I am a huge fan of Belichick and how he conducts himself and runs the team), but I can't help but shake my head at this kid. Let this be a lesson to you young monkeys. (He allegedly shot the victim because the victim was talking to people he didnt like...yeahhhh). Yes of course you should not murder anyone, but I am referring to throwing it all away at such a young age. You may be really tempted to go Office Space on your MD and the staffer dude. You HAVE to think about your future, and doing something silly could just as well be career suicide.

Just think not once, not twice, not thrice, not four times, but think for as long as you humanly can before doing anything that could tarnish you forever. I hope some of you old vets can chime in with some stories about how guys royally screwed themselves.

Disclaimer: I may have traded for him in a keeper league late last season.

Just a note: I will throw a monkey shxt at you if you make a tight end / wide receiver joke. Unless your puns are absolutely hilarious and original I will most likely throw a MS at you as well. This GIF has already won: http://imageshack.us/a/img594/3896/9bq.gif

Not sure where you going with this...Clearly it take a lot of stupidity to murder someone, and some serious "boneheadedness" to tarnish your career forever. You can get away with a lot of shit as an inten/entry-level, so as long as you show up on time, don't leave early, don't steal, and own up to mistakes, you should be A-OK.

The real moral to this story: if you plan on murdering someone, don't smash your iPhone to pieces during the cover-up. Unless you have video of you shooting the guy on your Camera Roll, all you accomplish with a move like that is to tell police 1) you have something to hide and 2) you are retarded and don't understand how cell phone records work.

Here's the problem with the tight end / receiver jokes.. the guy is 6'1 245 lbs of jacked NFL strength who just murdered someone. He wouldn't be anyone's bitch even if he were in the general population of prisoners. Regardless, his problem was that he didn't flee the country immediately after this happened. He had to have known the evidence was damning (otherwise he wouldn't have smashed his phone/security system and hired the cleaners). Take the millions and go to an island where they don't extradite. Or maybe he just could have not murdered that guy. Either way.

This to all my hatin' folks seeing me getting guac right now..

He's a NFL player, not exactly a smart bunch. You really think he thought about the implications of his actions and planned an exit strategy by looking at which countries do not have extradition agreements with the U.S. and ways to secretly transfer his money to a safe Swiss account? Lol. Get real bro.

Also, once a thug, always a thug. Money and fame don't change that.

The most discerning thing about this entire story is the obvious smear campaign the mainstream media seems to be running against bubblicious blue cotton candy bubble gum.

You're born, you take shit. You get out in the world, you take more shit. You climb a little higher, you take less shit. Till one day you're up in the rarefied atmosphere and you've forgotten what shit even looks like. Welcome to the layer cake, son.

Listening to the Prosecutor rattle off the facts in the case against him made my jaw drop. They have him on surveillance driving from the scene, they know what kind of gum he was chewing, and they even have him holding a gun on his own home surveillance system. Pretty damning evidence. And he didn't do much to deflect the scrutiny by smashing his cell phone like Zoolander. Pretty sure the files aren't actually inside the phone buddy.

Those bangers love their culo the way they love their McD's... big & tasty.

I hate victims who respect their executioners
