PIMCO Portfolio Associate Role

Hey all,

I'm in the process of interviewing for a portfolio associate role for PIMCO. Does anyone have any input on what internal mobility, culture, and the work is actually like?

Would you choose PIMCO or Guggenheim?

Hey there!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, PIMCO is known for its big MBA culture. As a product analyst intern, you might get a good insight into the day-to-day operations, return offer rate, and upward mobility. However, it's important to note that moving from an internal sales role into an investing role at PIMCO might be challenging as they usually hire people with experience in IB/Investing related roles.

As for the culture at PIMCO, I don't have specific information on that. But remember, culture can vary greatly from team to team within the same company, so it's always a good idea to try and get a feel for it during your interview process.

When it comes to choosing between PIMCO and Guggenheim, it really depends on what you're looking for in a company and a role. Both are reputable firms, but they might offer different opportunities and experiences.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
