Advice for Nontraditional MBA

Hey Guys,

First of all thank you for reading this and taking the time to advice.

My story: I am 27 and graduated from a top 50 public school in 2013 with a 3.7 GPA in premedical sciences. My initial goal at 18 was to get into med school and I did. But, at 24, I decided not to go for many reasons. I have a ton of healthcare experience both clinical and administrative. Now, after much reflection, I am planning to go to business school and get into consulting post MBA.

What career opportunities are open to someone like me from a healthcare background in the world of business? In other words, where could I take my healthcare experience with an MBA? Note: If your answer in anything hospital related, I am already aware. I am looking for more info on something like pharma / biotech. That will be helpful.

What caliber MBA program should i be eyeing to break into consulting? (Please don't say top 10 MBA. I know that.) Examples of some good programs that will help me break into consulting will be helpful.

Is working in healthcare investment banking an option for me down the road assuming I choose to study finance in my future MBA program?

Do you think I will be better off in pharma / biotech or consulting in terms of lifestyle and pay? Please specify your reasons.

Lastly, what are some of the other exit opportunities that I could pursue if I get tired of consulting couple years down the road.

Thanks a million for your feedback.
