Associate role at Strategy& Deals London

Hi everyone!

I recently received an offer from strategy& deals team for an entry level role in London and I just wanted to get an idea regarding the career progression, work life balance and exit opportunities from here on? WSO forum has a lot to say on the culture at strategy& but a majority of them seemed to be US focussed. Would really appreciate some inputs specific to the deals team in London.

Thank you

Am currently at Strategy& Deals and am enjoying myself! Career progression and exit opps seem to be on par with other MBB / Tier 2s in London. Granted, placement into megafund PE is rare and probably less so than MBB, but I doubt that MBB / consulting as a whole is a strong feeder into megafund PE in London anyway. WLB can vary depending on project / client, but there is an emphasis on wellbeing and ensuring that people do not burn out.

Feel free to dm / reach out if you have any additional questions!

apologies for being ignorant, what is the difference between deals and corporate strategy? is deals just cdd projects? and is there opportunity to move from deals to corporate strategy?
