Speaking with colleagues from Tier 2 firms, they feel like the quality of cases is rather different between their past experiences and our current cases. Travel seems rather similar Promotion policies are roughly in line As you move up, earning potential is significantly lower at a Tier 2 shop. Reasonably, you aren't making it to partner or even within 2 levels of partner, so earning potential will be roughly in line. Lifetime potential will also be affected by exit ops I tried recommending a friend (@ Tier 2) to a recruiter who'd contacted me about a position.

I would say depends on where you want to live? Bain is an amazing company but you can also have (almost) the same experience with Tier 2. Personally I would choose it on my location preference.
