BCG and private equity

Does the Boston Consulting Group do a reasonable amount of private equity work? Amongst MBB, it seems like Bain gets the largest amount of PE work, but that could be misleading as Bain is the smallest amongst MBB so it could be that PE just constitutes a larger percentage of their total work, and that McKinsey or BCG infact have a larger volume of PE work. Does BCG have any historically strong relationships with certain PE funds? If one requests to be placed on PE cases, how likely is it that their requests will be met?

Bain's private equity practice is 3-4x larger than the next player's in absolute terms they claim. I think McK is that next player. My understanding is that after that you get shops like LEK and Parthenon-EY and then at some point BCG. But I'm sure you can do some PE work at BCG
