BCG Referral Question
Hi - if you get a referral from an individual in a BCG office (say SF/LA/Seattle) but list your office preference as another (say NY/Bos), does the referral still carry enough weight to guarantee a first round interview? Appreciate any insight
It might but it makes it harder for someone to pull for you in the later rounds
A referral doesn't exactly guarantee a first-round interview. But to answer your question, it doesn't really matter if your referral came from a different office from your preferred one.
From personal experience, referral doesn’t guarantee anything! Maybe if it came from someone higher up on the food chain.
