I'm organizing a trip to NYC for students at my school (non-target) to network with consultants and their firms in the hopes of eventually getting interviews for internships and full time positions (yes, the relationship comes first, I know!). Think of the trip as an hour to two hour visit at each firm where the consultants talk about what they do and interesting projects, with a short period talking to HR about how to get involved in the process for recruiting / hopefully direct resume drop.
I was wondering if there are any companies that particularly stand out for something in NYC, maybe it is a boutique focusing on media/entertainment consulting or bank strategy, I'd love to get an idea of some of the places I should try and break into.
Obviously the MBBs of the world would be lovely if I could organize an hour or so of their time, but connections to some of those places are slim. I've got good connections for Deloitte and Accenture, and probably Towers Watson. But hoping to find maybe 1-2 more with interesting focuses that I can try add to the fray!
