Big Four consulting, profile boost, thoughts?

I am a liberal arts grad with a master's in politics / IR from a top 20 university and have accepted an offer to work in management consultancy with one of the Big Four, however I am not starting until the end of August. I currently work in a horrific job with a firm in a fairly unrelated field, I am considering doing the Tuck Bridge (http://www.tuck.dartmouth.edu/bridge/) program before starting as a consultant. Would this be worthwhile in terms of improving my MBA chances in a few years or even in preparing me to be a better consultant (I have very little financial background)?

Any thoughts on what I could do to boost my profile / resume in the time before I start my new job?

Seeing how you said big 4 - you probably will be starting with Big D seeing how they're the only ones still really consulting out of the 4 accounting firms.

That said, I can tell you that Deloitte places their mgmt consulting folks pretty well in bschools and really helps them get in. They have GMAT courses in the office, you're only tied to projects for max of 3 months allowing broad exposure and your fridays in the office many times are filled with Bschool prep sessions from bschool alums. Most of the strategy people at Deloitte head to Kellogg - McCombs caliber schools with a few outliers on both sides. If you network well, do well at Deloitte and you're interested in bschools from #5 - #20, then Deloitte will really help you get there. If you're looking to go #4 or better, you'll have to be a superstar at Deloitte and/or may want to consider the program.

Also - I looked at the website and the program looks really worthwhile so maybe do a little bit more research.
