Booz Allen Salaries not as competitive as industry average
I started at Booz Allen after graduating from a regional B school earlier this year. I noticed that the salaries are not as competitive to what the Big 4 offers fresh MBA graduates. I wanted to get your thoughts on this. The way I see it BAH caters primarily to government clients, who are cash strapped compared to their commercial counterparts. What else are possible reasons for the lower than industry compensation? If you have any info, please share.
They also aren't really recruiting the "top" candidates, so they don't have to offer the same compensation. In addition, many of my veteran friends join BAH right after the military, and the pay at BAH still beats the snot out of that.
