Boutique Consulting or Google (People Operations)
Hi,
I need to make a decision between taking an entry-level associate role in People Operations at Google (basically HR) and an offer at a boutique consulting firm that specializes in financial services.
I am leaning towards Google right now, specifically at the prospect of being able to transfer internally to another department a few years down the line. I don't really foresee myself staying within financial services in the future, and that is a reason for why I wouldn't want to side with consulting.
Still, it is an HR role vs. consulting, so what are some of your insights/perspectives on this issue?
I would appreciate any and all help. Cheers.
Is this a new grad role or experienced hire? What's the role at Google? Is it an analyst role or something else?
Both roles are new grad hires. The role at Google is an entry level associate position.
