Breaking Into Consulting: Switched Careers Twice | Doing Preliminary Research

Background: -28 Y/O -Sales 2 years --> Real Estate 2 years -Looking to harness strengths that were never harnessed -Looking for more fulfilling work -Currently Studying for the GMAT; original goal was to go REPE route but I am putting feelers for consulting after some preliminary research

Why Am I looking Into Consulting? -Appears to directly fit with my strengths (generalist, analytical, personable, professional) -Appears to directly fit with my interests (strategy, client-facing, analytical) -Appears to have constant learning of different industries, businesses, people

Why the Change of Heart Now? -I am studying for the GMAT, original purpose was to get more competitive for REPE but also thought of switching careers due to the above. Nothing is final, just preliminary research. I've always had consulting in the back of my mind but never really understood it fully and thought the barrier to entry was near impossible for a liberal arts, Big 10 undergrad.

So I recently switched from a sales job into commercial real estate as a market/financial analyst, I am still considering pursuing commercial real estate as a career but have begun looking into consulting as a career.

My question is as follows:

1) Given that I get into a Top 7 MBA program, and given my background of little finance experience and 3 (including the jump to consulting) career switches, could my profile be competitive for an MBB?

I appreciate any and all feedback.
