Can I Apply 2X to Junior Internships??

Hey guys,

I recently recruited with MBB/2-tier schools for next summer. Didn't get offers from MBB, but I have an internship lined up at boutique. However, I found out I would need to graduate a semester later. Can I apply again for junior internships or is my chance for those passed?

Thanks!

For now, keep real quiet about your new graduation date and be very smart about how you disclose your delayed graduation. There's a chance the company you set to intern at may not be interested in having you since you're effectively a sophomore in terms of when they'd be able to bring you on full time

I'm having a bit of difficulty understanding your question "Can I apply again for junior internships or is my chance for those passed?"

If you're asking if you can try recruiting with MBB/T2 for summer 2024, then yes I don't see why not

If you're asking if you can try recruiting with MBB/T2 for summer 2023 (i.e. this summer) for a second time this cycle then no, re-classifying does not make you eligible to apply again

It could be seen as a little fishy, but I'm sure if you have a good enough reason then you'll have the same shot as everyone else. Just say I had to push back my graduation. Many people have taken gap years during Covid or had to delay due to issues with classes so it’s not uncommon.

Edit: Online it states that MBB has a 1-2 year ban for reapplying, but I'm not sure if that applies to undergraduate applications? I doubt it would but not sure. Would just ask the recruiter at MBB.
