Can I get MBB with a non-econ degree from a target school?

Have been considering a career in consulting as of late but I think I’d like to study political science in undergrad. Is that fine for top consulting, assuming a) I take some quantitative class and b) I can demonstrate good problem-solving/mental math capabilities during interviews? For reference, at a non-HYS T10.

You don't need any specific degree for MBB, however, you'd help yourself out by getting heavily involved in the Consulting clubs on campus. Part of the struggle of non-business majors entering is just being unaware or unfamiliar with the usage of a lot of business terminology. The earlier you can get exposure to all of this, the better. Maybe consider a minor or just consider going hard on ECs that directly align with the route you want to go.
