Career Advice for recent grad from semi-target
I graduate from a semi-target University in two weeks with a degree in Sociology. My GPA is in the top 10% of my college and I was hoping to get into Investment Banking or Consulting. I have almost no work experience, and I wanted the wise opinions of WSO's community of what I should do to improve my resume? I want to gain some work experience, however, it 's hard to put my foot in the door.

Thank you for replying! I have trouble finding someone who has the same facts as me. Either their GPA is different or their major is different. I just wanted to know if it is still possible or if I am out of luck. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Basically the answer is, network as hard as you can as soon as you can. No person is "out of luck". You just need to put the work in. It has been done, so if you want it go get it. motivational rant over
