classes for OW
I'm interested in working for OW FS and was wondering if there are any particular classes they like to see? I've heard they are more quantitative than other firms, would taking more statistics and math classes help my chances?

I know two people that went to OWFS. One was a double major in Religious Studies and Math . The other majored in Philosophy and Polisci with a minor in Statistics.
Takeaway: It seems that they look for candidates who have demonstrated both qualitative and quantitative skills.
Definite preference for quantitative candidates.
If you can handle them, it wouldn't hurt to take some math and stats classes.
Okay thank you, if I am not minoring in stat or math, should i take some anyway and just put them on my resume?
A minor would probably be better, but taking the courses anyways as electives will be good - better than people that take joke classes and learn nothing.
I didn't have a particularly strong math or stats background but got an offer from OW FS. Take the classes if you're actually interested in them, not because you think they'll help for OW FS. Chances are they won't, and the damage they could do to your GPA is far greater than the marginal benefits they provide to your resume or critical thinking skills.
Agreed with Lobgent. Focus on what makes you best. If you are genuinely interested/good at quants, pursue it. There's no denying it will come in handy at OW FS if you were to work there. But if you're not strong at quants, you still could be very intelligent in another way and the OW FS interviews will be able to spot that.
Yes, this is true. My above comment comes with a big asterisk that assumes that you like and are good quantitatively. GPA is a must first and foremost.
