concepts/skills needed for consulting?

rising sophomore looking to pivot from life science major to consulting, what are the hard skills needed for consulting? as someone with 0 finance background whatsoever, what specific finance/market skills or excel knowledge does one need for the career and primarily for case interviews and consulting applications to get into the industry itself. and, any specific resources to where one can learn these skills would be super wonderful as well. was thinking of watching damodarans course on yt, but valuation and other things seem much more necessary for like IB so not sure if its ideal, really lost on what topics one should learn to succeed in getting into consulting.
