Consulting Exit Optty Salary

This is a question for those with a few years of consulting/ib experience after undergrad. What is the typical range that you have seen for salaries in a corp strategy/ corp development position after 2 years of consulting? I received an offer that is about $100,000 base with about $20,000 stock and was wondering whether or not to attempt further negotiation.

Thank you

Thanks for the link, definitely was helpful. The thread though seemed more focused on corp development and rotational programs rather then corp strategy positions... Not sure if anyone had any input on what the differences in comp would be.

not saying you necessarily should, but keep in mind that most job offers (outside of the out-of-school program recruiting world) are offered with the expectation that you'll do some negotiation, and it's not looked down upon

and if you don't mind me asking, would your role be one that usually gets a substantial bonus? other than the stock you mentioned?

Hi Joe, the salary ranges i posted in the linked thread are pretty relevant also for corp strat jobs...at my firm (also a F500 tech firm) most people with 2 years MBB experience going into corpstrat come in on average at the 90K or so base level, they end up making somewhere in the range of 10-20K in cash bonus, and another 10-30K in stock bonus...so total comp ranges from like 110K - 140K with average being like 120K or so (but remember that the stock vests over 5 years). So your offer seems to be pretty decent.

All of the former MBB guys in my group (corp strat) are right the level you described.
