CONSULTING SALARIES ABROAD?

Why would a b-school care if you came from a foreign office of M/B/B? Furthermore, why would they care about slight pay differentials?

Because certain offices are harder to get into...

And I'm not saying that Bschools care about pay differentials, but I was wondering for my sakes.

Starting salaries are the same in the US whether you are in New York or Dallas. In Europe, they'd be the equivalent in pounds/euros.

I'd find it hard to believe an adcom would discount your application because you come from the Barcelona McKinsey office instead of the Chicago one.

They should all be comparable. Maybe slight differences due to FOREX or COL.

I know for a fact that MBB asia pays less for post-college positions

Sometimes positions don't line up - i.e. in India, I believe most firms have a pre-associate role (Jr. Associate?) which is where hires out of college start.
