This has been done before. MBB target schools won't be different from T2s because there is no reason for it. MBA business schools">M7 MBAs in the US and the usual European targets (LBS, HEC, INSEAD and Bocconi) will be the main targets for most of these. The main difference may be that HC consulting firms like ClearView actively recruit PhDs or MDs so here the usual suspects will be the best medical/biomedical schools from around the world (which are also quite well known).

Don't mean to rain on your parade, but making more and more of these lists doesn't really help.

The point isn't to come up with general lists but more specific. I have heard that some MBB don't target all MBA business schools">M7 and some 2nd tier target specific schools that they have strong alumni connections.

Whilst I don't doubt that some firms will ALSO recruit where they have strong alumni connections, this will either be a small portion of their recruitment pool or it'll be office specific. My firm's Texas office often recruits at McCombs but I guarantee that anyone applying with an MBA business schools">M7 MBA for the Texas office will still have a great chance of getting the job.

A list of this nature may be useful for people that are at a specific school and want to target a specific office (assuming this theory is correct). Even so, the advantage you would have over the "traditional target" applicants applying for the same office will at most be marginal.

Bottom line is, if you don't go to one of the "traditional" targets, you need to use other tactics such as networking than applying to the small office that recruits from that university.

With that being said, the potential targets are likely going to be geography specific so a list won't yield any true insights. MBBs in Denmark would likely have a big on-campus presence at CBS, the Austria offices would have strong presence at WU. I suspect it's the same in the US but by state.
