Contacting a diversity recruiter - the RIGHT way
Has anyone ever reached out to a diversity recruiter, URM or LGBT, at a consulting firm? If so, how did you approach them? Since they are recruiters, I'm assuming I can directly talk to them about interviewing as opposed to a softer, informational interview-style approach. What works, and what doesn't work?
I just want to say enough to get the recruiter interested--I don't want to be referred to the online application, obviously.
FYI I am Hispanic, and my recruiter contact handles both URMs and the LGBT community.
