Deloitte Advisory Consultant Health Care Life Sciences
I applied for this position through OCR at my school. I attend a university in Los Angeles and I am finishing up my MPH degree. I actually forgot I had applied and got a phone call last Saturday asking me to interview this Friday. It will be TWO phone interviews back to back.
Any idea on what I should expect?
I literally just finished finals yesterday and my head is all over the place. So now that I have time, I'm trying to prepare.
Also, does anyone have an idea or starting salary or etc?
Thanks
I would stay away from anything Deloitte unless it is Deloitte Consulting and then maybe, just maybe, I would consider it
Lol feel free to elaborate more on this. I'm open ears.
coming from MPH background... "why do you want to work in private side as opposed to your education background?" "what skills can you transfer from your MPH experience?"
and the usual "tell me about your self" "run me through your resume" "what do you think about US healthcare?"
So I had my two telephone interviews. I think they went well, but we'll see...
Same thing happened to me. I got an email from Deloitte requesting more info.
"Thank you for your interest in Deloitte Consulting’s “Consultant – MHA/MPH Advanced Degree” position. We are still in the process of interviewing candidates and would like to gather a little more information from you.
Would you be interested in any of the below geographic locations? Boston Chicago Detroit McLean New York"
Is this typical of Deloitte or any other firms to still be recruiting/interviewing this late in the game?
That's great. The only difference with me is I've been getting phone calls from most people and got an email from one of the women who interviewed me. A recruiter called me yesterday asking me to choose my top cities (even though I had indicated it in my original cover letter) but she was very helpful.
From my understanding, there are no case interviews with this interview process. I believe the next phase would be to go to the office and interview with 3 separate people and then a decision would be made. Apparently, the interviews are behavioral (again).
I wonder why they didn't ask you about Los Angeles or Costa Mesa. I'd prefer to be based in So. Cal but with all the traveling I guess it wouldn't matter too much.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
That's very strange. I interviewed with Deloitte in the spring for a summer internship position (health care strategy and operations). My first round consisted of a case interview over the phone, nothing behavioral.
Good luck. Hopefully I will hear back soon.
That's because that position you applied for is considered a "consulting" position (Strategy and Operations) and the one I'm applying for is an "advisory" position. That's one thing the interviewer emphasized in my interview.
Well it looks like I made it to the second interview round, which is at the actual office. I'm so excited, yet nervous.
