Deloitte BTA - Any pros to this program?

Are there any pros to this program?? I've read a lot of trash about it on these forums. I'm interested in it, but scared I might get stuck in a hole. I want a job where I can meet lots of people and be intellectually stimulated, not stuck behind a computer screen typing code all day. Thoughts?

Well BTAs don't code all day. Their work isn't interesting to me (mostly integrating SAP etc) but they do get considerable client interaction. S&O here is a better place to be IMO. The MBA placement for the tech sideisnt even close to as strong as the strategy side. But pay is comparable. If you like tech work, I wouldn't say it's a bad place to make a career. It will be tough to break out though.

they have really good benefits... if your a top performer they'll reimburse you for grad school / mba, stipend, and give you a promotion when you return... beats most places...

Is it possible to get an MBA in finance when work experience is BTA? My ultimate goal would be financial consulting, but I know my limits and my stats aren't incredibly impressive to get into finance right away. I just want my foot in the consulting door.

Yes. You'll probably have a harder time then someone at McKinsey or something, but BTA's definitely can get into good business schools. I've heard through a friend who is a BTA that a few she knows got into GSB, MIT and Wharton this year, so it's definitely possible.
