Deloitte BTA - Need input from BTAs

Need input from you Deloitte BTAs out there.

  1. Which office has better reputation?
  2. Are BTA discouraged to go the MBA route because it adds very little value to tech consulting?
  3. What do you plan on doing or what have you become 3-4 years after starting as a BTA?
  4. Survival tips?

International PympCarnegie Mellon is an "elite MBA"? not sure on that one Matthias...

Maybe not elite but CMU seems very relevant since it runs the best engineering program, which comes into play for a role like BTA.

As far as office prestige, you should focus more on the industries you'd be interested in. The geographical location/specialty makes the right location obvious (ie. DC = big federal practice, NY = Banking, etc.) I've also heard that Deloitte Consultants do less traveling in general.

I know it's been a whole, but I would like to know about office reputation too. I'm offered a BTA position at Zchicago, but I have personal reasons to want to go to NY. But I would like to know if it's more competitive and difficult to negotiate post offer and whether I would be better off there career wise. Any advice?
