Is anyone familiar with Deloitte's internal business strategy/corporate development group?

I am weighing a potential offer vs my current role in FP&A at a major BB.

“I spoke with Michael who works in Equity Research, we talked about some career paths that I can take and why Asset Management is a good fit. During our talk, we went over my CV and were able to pick out some points that were relevant to AM. We then discussed my next steps if I wanted to pursue AM, going over what firms to target and what level to reach. When discussing the level to reach, Michael went over 2 areas where I can build on and focus my attention to help me stand out when I apply to some of the AM firms we talked about. He mentioned why and how they are relevant along with what to start with. Michael was extremely reassuring and kind throughout our talk and I was happy that he reached out to me on Slack when I put my first introductory message in the general page. We need our talk with potentially meeting again to do a mock stock pitch or just to catch up on my progression.”

“Third session with Matt and he is a really great mentor! This session was especially helpful, and I was able to significantly improve my seven behavioral interview stories in a short amount of time. I really appreciated his industry expertise and the many actionable takeaways he provided. He was also incredibly kind, attentive, and easy to talk to, taking the time to listen to my thoughts and provide thoughtful feedback. Scheduling was very flexible and straightforward, which I also appreciated. He even offered to conduct another mock interview with me later, which was extremely generous. Overall, a fantastic mentor, and I would definitely book another session with him!”

I would have a hard time passing on Deloitte corp dev, if I were in your position.

Thanks- I believe this is a hybrid biz dev/ strategy role, so hopefully it would provide more opportunities than FPA

I'd take corp dev at deloitte hands down...seems like a no brainier to me. FP&A can get boring.
