Deloitte Intel Segment?????????

Hello all, I was recently given a call in regards to Deloitte's Intel Segment section.

Some of the jobs in the Intel Segment include: accounting manager and financial consultant.

Also, Accenture has been ringing me up for similar work. I only have 2 years maybe 3 depending on how you look at my resume in "financial" experience. All of the occupations demand a Top Secret clearance which I do have.

The job is located in the DC area. Have any of you monkeys heard of this section of Deloitte or Accenture that deals with federal consulting?

What kind of salaries/bonuses should I expect? What kind of work hours will I endure?

Thank you for your time.

-Bretton

Government defense agencies (CIA, NSA, DoD, etc) all have many of the same needs large corporations have, in terms of large scale ERP systems, financial accounting / auditing, internal control work, etc. The difference is all of the data inside those places has to be tightly controlled. So, when they put out bids to consulting shops for different types of work, it works better if they can engage with a firm that has a segment of people that already have top secret clearance, are familiar with working inside the confines a place that tightly controlled, and that have defense industry expertise, etc. Booz Allen Hamilton is a big player in this space. Pay is pretty good because of the Top Secret clearance (your firm should sponsor and pay for that for you).

To give you an example, I have a friend that used to be at BAH. He's a DBA, pretty much like you'd find at any large company. Except he worked at CIA headquarters every day. CIA had a long term contract with BAH to provide certain outsourced IT services, and that was one of them.

Exit ops are defense industry - Raytheon, Northrop Grummon, Lockheed, etc. Or government, if that's your thing. Really, you can exit into any industry because large scale IT projects are pretty industry agnostic. Other industries might even find you interesting for having had top secret clearance, and that could work in your favor. Who knows.
