Deloitte vs Accenture vs KPMG Consulting, London

Hi all,

I am just about to graduate with a BSc in Economics from LSE this summer and I really hoped to get into MBB/ Tier 2 firms such as Ronald Berger, Oliver Wyman, etc. However, I only got invited to an interview with Bain but didn't make it.

I am in the recruitment process with KPMG Management Consulting, Deloitte Analytics (Tech team, wasn't too keen on this but it was the only service line available) and Accenture Strategy Consulting. I'd appreciate any insights from anyone into which of these firms would be the best option for me considering my long-term goal of transitioning into one of the big 3 (MBB) and possibly doing an MBA at some point.

I am an international student living in London so, owing to Visa issues, I can't take a year out and reapply to MBB nor can I do a Masters because I don't have sufficient funding.

I realise that within the big 4, Deloitte is probably the best option, however I am more interested in Strategy and the only service line available right now with Deloitte for me is Tech (Analytics). Does anyone know how common it is to change service lines once in the firm? Same for KPMG, I chose Management Consulting when I first applied and now have a partner interview lined up, but I really want to join their Strategy Group.

I'd appreciate any advice.

Thank you!
