Do MBB firms check GPA for experienced hires?

I'm heading into the final round for a consulting role at an MBB firm tomorrow. I didn't have a good GPA for my undergrad but I've accumulated good experiences and skills that helped me make it to the this round of interviews. Do you guys know if I do pass the on-site round, will they check GPA during the offer stage? Or do they only check that I received a degree from the institution listed on my resume? (My GPA was never asked in the entire interview process)

Don't worry about it too much. If your GPA was a serious issue you wouldn't have got the interview in the first place (even for experienced hires). We generally just check to make sure you didn't lie about your grades. And no, we never ask about grades during the interview process because we have better things to ask about in the limited time. We assume that crapshoot GPAs were already screened out.

The background check people only verify facts. They don't really communicate with the decision makers. If you make it through the interviews with an offer and your GPA never comes up, it likely will only do so in the written application that is used for background checks. In that case, the interviewers will never find out because no one in the real interview process ever looks at that document. I wouldn't worry about it.

It's not like the background check people will say hold the phone, I see that this person listed on the form that the got a 2.9 and their transcript shows the same!!! Ah, ha! It doesn't really work that way.
