Economic Consulting Sophomore Year Internship

I am currently a sophomore at a target (one of Harvard, MIT, Princeton, UPenn, Columbia, etc.) and I've been offered an internship at a top economic consulting firm for this summer (one of Analysis Group, Cornerstone, CRA). I ultimately want to intern either in the S&T division of a BB or in a hedge fund for my junior year summer. Do you think working in economic consulting this summer would hurt my chances of doing so?

My understanding is that the work I would do this summer involves a lot of data analysis, which should prove useful in a trading or quantitative research role next summer, but I'm wondering if anyone has any personal insight to add to this?
