Exit opportunities: Big 4 data advisory, engineering background

Hi everyone, first time poster here.

I'm currently a junior data analytics/technology consultant at a Big 4 firm, and I know I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here, but I'd like to know what exit options I will have after 1 to 3 years in this position, in order to know how best to prepare myself for them.

My background: Engineering, 3.50 GPA at a global top 30 school. Work experience thus far is 2 years of internship work in environmental/energy engineering and consulting. My long-term career goal is to end up managing important environmental/energy projects, whether it be in management consulting or with a top corporation in the environment/energy industry.

Is an MBA the default best option? Could I get into a top MBA program? Could I get sponsored by either my current company or my next? When's the earliest I could do it without being looked at funny by those who recruit MBA grads? (Does my 2 years of internship experience matter in this respect?)

Thanks for reading!
